These have been hard times for families, so I know mine is not unique in its struggle to maintain relationships through increasingly hostile politics that more and more reflect divergent and incompatible worldviews. I strive to see through the eyes of others, even when I disagree with their interpretations. It's humbling to know that I'm the enemy, too.
