In the mid-80s, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya, East Africa. This poem recalls the day some friends and I found ourselves on an unexpected safari in the Maasai Mara National Reserve where we saw wildebeests on their annual migration path. The poem weaves together reflections on that experience and thoughts on an episode of PBS' Nature.
