Benjamin Cutler, author of the collection The Geese Who Might be Gods (Main Street Rag 2019), is a high school English and creative writing teacher in the mountains of western North Carolina where he spends his time caring for his four children and frequenting the local rivers and hiking trails. His poem "Elegy With Failed Metaphors" is for his Nana and all those who have suffered from or been affected by the ravages of dementia.
