After working as an educator, farmer, and mother, Catherine Young completed her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. Her writing has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best American Essays. Her poetry is published in Passager, Ascent, and Reliquiae, among others, and she has completed a poetry collection. Rooted in farm life, Catherine lives with her family in Wisconsin.
