The "clawing at the grounded moon" sequence, which I am currently editing into book form, is meant to be a science fiction narrative about how human beings would handle the event of the moon crashing into the Earth without erasing all of humanity. What would the new normal be? How would we worship while leaning on a heavenly body? I wanted to write a sequence of poetry that presented a very immediate and large challenge to our future. I'm starting to feel really good about the project as a whole, and I'm getting very eager to read it as a whole piece. "#37" is one of my favorites in the sequence.
