Julie Cooper-Fratrik received her MFA in poetry from Goddard. She won an Achievement Grant in Poetry from The Leeway Foundation, is a former Creative Fellow at the Psychiatric Center of Philadelphia, a former Bucks County Poet Laureate, and the winner of the first Robert Fraser Award from Bucks County Community College, where she was on the Language and Literature faculty for 24 years. She has published work in, among others, Fourth Genre, The Dickinson Review, the mississippi review, The South Florida Review, Ekphrasis, Rhino, Isotope, Tupelo Quarterly and is the the author of three volumes of poetry. She lives in Upper Bucks County with her spouse, the artist and sculptor, Nura Petrov.
