The pandemic found some of us seeking self-care in oddball places. This poem is set in such a locale as a way to remember the privilege and ingenuity it sometimes takes to find the privacy necessary to contemplate and confront family legacies. Where do we fit in our family narratives? What do we seek? "Ouroboros & Caboose" is about the family stories we keep, and the way those stories keep us, too.
