Malcolm Glass has written and published poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and stage plays in numerous magazines and journals for over sixty years. Some of his work appears in his fourteen books of poetry and non-fiction.

Glass’s poem is based on a man who, years ago, walked the streets of Lexington, Kentucky every day at sundown, singing as he strolled along. Everyone called him Sweet Evening Breezes. The other characters in the poem are entirely fictional.
