Jen Karetnick's fourth full-length book is The Burning Where Breath Used to Be (David Robert Books, September 2020), an Eric Hoffer Poetry Category Finalist and a Kops-Fetherling Honorable Mention. Her fifth book, Hunger Until It's Pain (Salmon Poetry), is forthcoming in spring 2023. This poem is one of a 26-poem series of abecedarians, one section of her sixth full-length work-in-progress.
