As a person with post-traumatic stress disorder, I have often revisited painful memories with the support of mental health professionals. I have found myself searching for a singular, evasive “truth” that could ease my grief. In this poem, I express how it feels to carry that burden in a world that rarely gives us the time and space to process and heal. This poem is a messy yet honest rendition of that journey.
