Of Abenaki/Huron descent, Ms. Rancourt’s book, Billboard in the Clouds, was the winner of the Native Writers’ Circle of the Americas First Book Award. Her book, murmurs at the gate, will be released May 2019. Acknowledging the power of wonderment in the cycles of life through observation as a human being being an artist is a mainstay of strength for Ms. Rancourt who is also a USMC and USA veteran.
